About Gemmy
Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk is a Netherlands-based photographer and artist with a lifelong attraction to the qualities of light. After years as a painter and multimedia designer, she discovered that she could paint with a camera, creating images with depth, layered tones, and imperceptible transitions. Her work, heavily influenced by the light of the Dutch Golden Age painters, is modern portraiture with a true painterly feel.
