ABOUT Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk
Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk, a Holland based photographer and artist, was born in the mid-seventies with an immediately attraction to studying the qualities of light. After working for years as a painter and multimedia designer, her life change dramatically when she discovered the power of photography. Gemmy realized that she had the ability to paint with a camera, creating images with depth, layered tones and imperceptible transitions. Her work, heavily influenced by understanding light used by painters during the Golden Age, are modern portraits with a true painterly feel.
