This allows you to retouch any surface with incredible precision and detail. Whether you're working on product photography or skin retouching, Frequency Separation 2.0 is the perfect tool for the job!

YOU'VE BEEN RETOUCHING THE WRONG WAY

While this is a bold statement, Earth Oliver backs it up by showing you a revolutionary process to retouch any surface. Earth is a cutting edge retoucher who has spent his career fixing every type of image imaginable. In developing Frequency Separation 2.0, Earth has expanded the workflow by incorporating other tools, layers, and ideas that can be added to the frequency stack. In the old method of using frequency separation, we were limited to only the areas that were inside any hard edge. This retouching was pretty much unuseable in product photography and only useable to retouch skin.

FS 2.0 Tutorial Presentation rather flat but provides technical and practical knowledge

I purchased this tutorial to find out more about FS 2.0 after watching the Seth McCullough Commercial retouching tutorial. This tutorial provides an overview of FS 2.0 both technical and practical. I found the presentation disappointing compared to other PRO EDU tutorials.

Confusion

I tried to learn some frequency separation techniques. However, I got lost at the beginning of the course. It's sad that I had high exception for the courses from Pro Edu.

Great

Fantastic technique, valuable info and insight into a part of Earth Oliver's workflow. I am mostly interested in skin retouching, but it was great to see what you can do with product and architecture/real estate photos. I was just a little disappointed that we didn't get to see how he dealt with water stains on the shower glass panel that intersect with the floor pattern.

Bye Bye FS 1.0

Great tutorial Oliver! The teaching is clear and precise, and the FS 2.0 tool does save me a ton of time removing stuff that I never dare to think about it before that.

Great content and very stimulating

I agree with other users, you should learn the basics of Frequency Separation before purchasing this. Besides this class is very well done.

Not all images require the same approach, sometimes you get there by trial and error and getting stuck is often part of the job.

This course really made me change my mind about keeping up and experimenting new techniques.
