Who doesn't love a good friendly competition in Photoshop? We certainly do!

At PRO EDU we host what we call the "Community Assignment" which gives the same assignment to anyone who desires to enter to create an original piece of art based on the rules, which can often be vague.

It is up to you to take that assignment, interpret it, and submit your best work. All of the work that is entered that meets the criteria will be judged by a panel of judges at PRO EDU including staff, instructors, and artists. The winner will be chosen by a silent vote with the most points.

The 7th Assignment was titled "TOO MANY ASTRONAUTS ON INSTAGRAM." Participants could interpret this as they wish to create any image that conveyed this message.

4 STEP PROCESS AND WORDS OF WISDOM

LICENSE ANY STOCK IMAGERY

It's always okay to use stock imagery, but your concept has to be original and you must legally license your stock. Please submit any before and after for us to determine where you started and where you ended up. You may be asked to show your legal license of your assets.

DON'T BE A DINGUS

Don't submit stuff that has nothing to do with this assignment. We know some of you still will, and we aren't sure why, but only photos that related to the assignment will be taken into consideration.

SUBMIT FINAL ON IG

You must enter your final piece on Instagram using the hashtag #psassignment and you must also follow @proedututorials so we can send you a message. If you don't follow us, then we cannot message you.

SUBMIT HIGH RES BEFORE & AFTER

You must also submit a 3000 pixel (minimum) before and after image to us via THIS FORM. If you do not submit your before and after, we cannot accept your submission to win.

Read "Astronauts Should Not Own Goats And Boats" and take that in any direction you want. You will be graded on Humor and the direction you took this assignment in as 1 of 4 main categories.

originality

How original is your work and your assets? We will be looking at the original content and assets used and will be judging how original each image is that is submitted as 1 of 4 main categories.

COMPOSITE PS WORK

From a technical standpoint we will be looking at your edges, composition, masks, horizons, and everything in between. How well do your assets work with one another that will make up 1 of 4 main categories.

your color grade

How well does your color grade work with the story you are trying to tell? What mood and emotion does it convey and how well is it executed? This is one of the 4 things you will be graded on.
