It finally works...but really took a LONG time to get them to work properly

The Styles now work in Capture One 20, but the way to bring them to appear and even more to properly work took me about 10 days. I've been contacting both C1 Support as well as Earth Oliver whom I've had some great conversations before already. Only Oliver was able to help me work things out but even we needed several days to do so. It would've saved me (and presumably Earth as well) a decent amount of hours doing research or trying to get the LUTs to appear (and after that: to work!). Turns out that with Fuji GFX Files there have to be taken precautions to get them to work and also that it's simply not possible to import the LUTs via C1 right now (you need to actively copy / paste the Styles inside the hidden program-path to show up). It would've been nice if that would've been highlighted in the product. They work now, but to be honest, the way there was kind of cumbersome and could've been MUCH easier if mentioned somewhere.

    Good but Limited

I want to love these so much, but I'm a bit confused as to why they have to work the way they do. I'm guessing it's because they used a 3rd party LUT creator, but I don't know for sure. What I do know is that having these LUTs function the way they do limits the power of Capture One Pro. The fact that you have to start with a prescribed intensity puts you at a huge disadvantage. What if the perfect look for my image is at 50% and not at 33% or 66%. With these LUTs, there is no way to change the intensity. I can't even add it to it's own layer so I can adjust from there. I also can't go in and tweak the settings. Having no sliders is a major disadvantage, not a feature. Besides that, the colors and looks are really great. If Pro Edu can find a way to make these loadable to a new layer, I would give these 5 starts. With their current limited functionality, they barely pass a 3. I would love to see Pro Edu create styles in the same way Capture One has created their styles. They are completely adjustable and can be put on a layer for intensity and settings control.

I can see why you would be frustrated if you thought that these were Presets and acted like Presets, it’s actually quite different. And yes we are well aware that these cannot be applied to new layers because they are not presets built on top of a layer and they are not designed in Lightroom. The entire purpose and power behind these as a much stronger starting point. It's a newer concept and quite a bit more powerful, but they are not presets so let me try and explain the main difference.

These were built in Cube files in 3D LUT Creator that allow for much more powerful color transformations that cannot exist in Capture One alone. These colors aren't achievable to start with before editing in the traditional method. The way these were designed give you the ability to start with your file in a much stronger place, but they aren't applied to a new layer using the sliders in Capture One. So re-thinking the workflow is step #1.

If these were presets, they would just be saved recipes that we came up with in Capture One Pro that anyone can do and anyone can sell. This doesn't add any more capabilities to your images, it's just using someone else's pre-determined arrangements for some sliders.

Earth Oliver designed these specific profiles to be a starting point for the RAW level and we built these as cube files, and then formatted and imported them into Capture One Pro. The only actual slider that doesn't work is the opacity slider because this isn't a layer on top of your RAW files, it's actually your new RAW file and you build your own presets on TOP of this, or edit and retouch/cleanup in Photoshop. This doesn't work because this color transformation is happening at the RAW level, so it is the same reason that the Layers Opacity slider doesn't work when you open a RAW image, because there is no layer behind it.

So the workflow is a little new, but the idea is the same and the results are quite different.
